Worship on Good Friday and Easter at GraceHoly Week services at Grace reflect the mood and messages of the events they remember.
Our service on Good Friday has a somber tone as it reflects on the price Jesus' paid in suffering and death to set us free from sin. We take time to consider our own sins that made his sacrifice necessary. In word and song we walk with Jesus through his trials, his mistreatment, his crucifixion, and his death. Most of all, we remember the supreme love that led him to endure such misery for us. Our service begins at 7 p.m. on Good Friday, April 19.
Our service on Easter day celebrates new life--both Jesus' new life and ours. As he left his tomb with his body not just restored, but glorified, we anticipate our own empty graves and restoration to life after death. Easter is God's promise of immortality, glory, and perfection for all who put their faith in Christ. The music, the Scripture, the preaching, the flowers fill our worship with joy and proclaim victory and hope. We praise God for these gifts beginning at 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 21.
